Are all these bailouts just cover up money to try keeping the people in line and working?

What is your take on this? We all know that higher ups in corporate america have money stashed away or stock options that are manipulated with rumors and lies. Aren't these the same people that pal around with most politicians ( regardless of affiliation ) ?
